Why does this website look like this? This is some BBS-type funk.
As modern web design standards have somehow trended towards being both minimalist in aesthetic and sluggish in performance, this website goes into the fray with the mentality:
Look like you're on dial-up with any connection
At least if this website isn't fast for you, it'll look the part anyways.
This website uses BOOTSTRA.386, a rather old theme in more ways than one. There have been ports of it for a couple things:
It still stands out from most themes and harkens back to around the time when I first used a computer, which is why it was picked for this little place on the internet. Might change the theme for this site to look a bit more different from upstream, eventually. Besides, it already uses a soft fork of it that adds Mastodon support (for verification). What's a couple palette changes, right?
