I'm a computer enthusiast who's been dabbling in technologies common and offbeat for the last 10+ years, currently trying to turn all of that into something useful and productive. I've got some other interests too, but technology is the main focus.
Been using Linux for the past 10+ years and Haiku for around 5 years now. Occasionally contributed to HaikuPorts with ports of various programs:
Currently maintaining the following programs in openSUSE (excluding development packages):
tvdemo
and tvedit
(Turbo Vision 2.0 demo programs)Formerly an internal tester and part of the mod team for the Artemis project (a client for /kbin), until that project eventually wound down. Currently an admin for Haiku Community Discord.
Despite what my primary alias says, I do not use Windows 8 beside Linux anymore. One of my older desktops dualbooting both many years ago is what led to that. Might be a little too late to swap to the other ones at this point. :S
Meanderspace started off as a quietly public microblog of sorts, intending as a place where I'd post about anything that was interesting. Then I forgot about it for a long time due to IRL events. Came back to it once Mastodon started taking off in the midst of its turbulent time after its acquisition by an erratic billionaire, only to realise that I prolly won't have enough time in the foreseeable future to post often on it. Also, it looked boring.
For now, Meanderspace is primarily just going to be a tiny corner of the internet. A rather boring and uneventful one, mainly existing to get the funny green verification checkmark on the Mastodon profile. Got some potential ideas to where else to take the website towards, but not yet. Speaking of where...
I can be found in other parts of the internet, too.
